On the plateau above the cemetery stands St. Michael's Chapel, which has been visited
which has been visited as a venerable pilgrimage site for centuries. It was once

Miraculously, it escaped destruction by firebombs during the last war
Fire bombs. The exterior of the chapel remained almost unchanged

The cemetery and renovated chapel were consecrated on September 14, 1952 after a construction period of around two years.
