According to the information available to us, a total of 33 dead from both world wars and the National Socialist tyranny rest in this cemetery in very well-kept graves. In detail: - 1 cemetery with 18 German - 2 of them from the First World War - and 5 Polish soldiers as well as 8 civilians from Börg and 1 Soviet prisoner of war; - 1 single grave of a child near the children's graves. The victims of the Second World War lost their lives during the fighting in this area from April 9-12, 1945 or died of their wounds shortly afterwards. The dead Polish soldiers were members of the 1st Polish PzDiv, which was deployed in Emsland in the spring of 1945. Photos: Municipality of Börger 2012
