Total Occupation: 72 fatalities
According to the information available to us, a total of 72 German soldiers of the Second World War from the army, air force and navy are buried in a well-kept cemetery in the front left-hand section of the cemetery. Almost all of them fell shortly before the end of the war during the defense of the Bleckede bridgehead on the Elbe in the battle with British units between April 19 and 21, 1945, or died shortly afterwards as prisoners of war from their wounds. 24 of them remained unknown.
