Bardowick, St. Peter und Paul Friedhof

According to the information available to us, a total of 28 victims of National Socialist tyranny rest in a well-kept communal grave in the front left-hand section of this cemetery. In detail: - 26 known and 2 unknown Polish former forced laborers who were housed in Bardowick, which had been cleared of the German population by order of the British occupying power, after the end of the war and were awaiting repatriation. They died between June 1945 and March 1946, 10 of them infants. Photos: Volker Fleig 2014
