Bad Gandersheim, St. Georgsfriedhof

According to the information available to us, a total of 72 war dead from both world wars rest in one cemetery in several cemeteries to the right of and in front of St. George's Church. In detail: - 3 cemeteries lying one behind the other with a total of German soldiers from the army, air force and Waffen-SS as well as some foreign so-called "aid workers". Most of them died of illness or wounds in Gandersheim or other military hospitals in 1944/45. - 1 cemetery with 13 German soldiers from the First World War, also military hospital deaths or transferred from war zones.
