the prisoner of war cemetery in Atkarsk was restored in 1999. Around 792 prisoners of war are buried here. The site is 3,965 square meters in size and is surrounded by a moat. The graves are marked by groups of symbolic crosses. The central memorial is a 4.5 m high metal cross.
