The prisoner of war cemetery in Zalka was restored in 1998 and is home to around 225 prisoners of war. The site is 500 square meters in size and is surrounded by a metal fence. The graves are marked by groups of symbolic crosses made of granite. The central memorial is a 2.5-metre-high basalt cross, which also bears the memorial message: HERE REST POWS OF WAR, VICTIMS OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR
