According to the information available to us and new research results, a total of
Information and new research results available to us - a total of 41 German and 2
british soldiers of the Second World War. In detail:

- next to the church, a well-kept cemetery with 41 German soldiers who died
or died days later of their wounds during the fighting in this area
from April 20-30, 1945, 4 of whom remain unknown.

- to the left, now recognizable by a small memorial stone, the
Grave of 2 British airmen. Their Wellington bomber was already shot down in 1940
shot down near Ganderkesee in 1940 and those killed in the crash landing were
were subsequently buried anonymously in this cemetery. Even the British Wargrave
Commission knew nothing about these graves.
