Feldbach

The military cemetery is located as an independent site directly next to the Mühldorf municipal cemetery in Feldbach. 1,646 German soldiers, 168 Italian prisoners, an unknown number of Russian war dead from the First World War and 972 German dead from the Second World War rest on the approximately 5,000 square meter site. In the mid-1970s, additional beds were added and then the cemetery was landscaped with the relocation of permanent natural grave markers made of serpentine as well as horticultural and structural work. The cemeteries of the First and Second World Wars were combined in a uniform lawn area. In the middle of the complex is a small square with a high cross and a plaque. The military cemetery was consecrated on 23 September 1978. The cemetery was transferred to the care of the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior on 1 January 2005.
