According to the information available to us, a total of 175 dead from both world wars and the National Socialist tyranny rest in a large, well-kept cemetery at the back of this cemetery.
In detail: - 10 German soldiers from the Borkum sea fortress who died as a result of illness or accidents in the years 1914 - 1916 - 148 German soldiers and some civilians from the Second World War, - 2 Polish and 2 Soviet prisoners of war and a total of - 13 unknown war dead. They died in the Borkum naval hospital, in plane crashes, through illness and accidents; were recovered from the sea or washed ashore near Borkum. Photos: Volker Fleig 2015
