According to the information available to us, a total of 33 dead from both world wars and the National Socialist tyranny rest in this cemetery in very well-kept graves. In detail: - 1 cemetery with 18 German - 2 of them from the First World War - and 5 Polish soldiers as well as 8 civilians from Börg and 1 Soviet prisoner of war; - 1 single grave of a child near the children's graves. The victims of the Second World War lost their lives during the fighting in this area from 9 - 12 April 1945 or died of their wounds shortly afterwards. The dead Polish soldiers were members of the 1st Polish PzDiv, which was deployed in Emsland in the spring of 1945. Photos: Municipality of Börger 2012
