According to the information available to us, a total of 72 German soldiers of the Second World War from the army, air force and navy rest in this cemetery in a well-kept burial ground in the left front part of the cemetery. Almost all of them fell shortly before the end of the war in the defense of the Elbe bridgehead Bleckede in the fight with British units in the period April 19-21, 1945 or died shortly afterwards as prisoners of war from their wounds. 24 of them remained unknown. photos: Volker Fleig 2014
