Bissendorf - Schledehausen, Ev. - luth. Friedhof

According to the information available to us, a total of 28 dead from the First World War rest in this cemetery. 20 of them, who rest in a well-kept memorial area immediately to the left of the first cemetery entrance next to the parking lot, died in the years 1918-21 from wounds or illnesses in the former reserve hospital in the Schledehausen Sanatorium, which no longer exists today. Among the dead are also 3 Red Cross nurses. The remaining 8 soldiers rest in family graves in the cemetery area. Photos: Paul-Walter Wahl, Schledehausen 2007 & 2008
