Total Occupation: 121 fatalities
The 2.4-hectare Wittenau cemetery, which is now owned by the state, was already used as the Dalldorf municipal cemetery before 1900; the oldest surviving date of death dates back to 1879. The cemetery chapel was built in 1907-1908 in the Mark Brandenburg brick style. Today's district of Wittenau originated from the village of Dalldorf in the Mark Brandenburg, which was first mentioned in a document in 1322 - presumably around 90 years after it was founded: Dalldorf was renamed Wittenau in 1905 after the head of the municipality Peter Witte, who died in 1902, and was incorporated into Greater Berlin in 1920.
The following honorary graves of the state of Berlin can be found in the cemetery: - Franz Otto Müller, 1883-1961, politician and town elder - Paul Witte, 1866-1930, 1902-1920 community leader/mayor of Dalldorf/Wittenau (honorary grave until 2017) - Peter Witte, 1822-1902, 1866-1902 community leader of Dalldorf and posthumous namesake of Wittenau There are more than 100 individual graves in the cemetery with victims of the First and especially the Second World War.
