Since 1887, burials have taken place in the approx. 4.5-hectare Protestant Dankes cemetery. Dankes Cemetery borders Nazareth Cemetery II to the north; the two cemeteries are now jointly administered. There are two graves of honor of the state of Berlin in the cemetery: - Friedrich Ahlers-Hestermann (1883-1973), painter and art writer - Käthe Paulus (1868-1935), first German professional airshipwoman and inventor of the collapsible parachute More than 100 victims of the First and especially the Second World War were buried here.
