Berlin-Köpenick, Friedhof Rudower Straße
The state-owned Rudower Straße cemetery is located on the street that gives it its name and is surrounded on three sides by the Protestant St. Laurentius cemetery. A burial ground for the fallen of the First World War was laid out as early as 1915. This was extended during the Second World War for victims of that war. in 1969, the sculpture "The Mourner" by Peter Goettsche was erected. the war cemetery was redesigned in 1995. The cemetery contains two collective graves of 80 m² as well as 779 individual graves for victims of the First and especially the Second World War. (Martin Bayer, 14.04.2020)
