The cemetery in Benneckenstein contains the graves of 12 victims of the First World War, including 7 Germans and 5 of unknown nationality. As far as is known, they died between July 14, 1916 and October 25, 1920. The following inscription can be found on the memorial stone: "Here rest the warriors 1914 - 1918" The site consists of a green area of approx. 64 m² with a memorial stone. The concrete grave slabs with names were removed by the former cemetery caretaker (deceased). Grave slabs are said to have been in very poor condition, names no longer recognizable. In addition, nine German soldiers who fell in Benneckenstein in mid-April 1945 rest here in a comrades' grave, as well as other German casualties from the Second World War in individual war graves.
