A total of 23 German soldiers rest in this common grave about 40 m to the left of the B51 federal road in Fesenfeld in the direction of Bremen. 21 of them died on April 10, 1945 when their truck was hit by an artillery attack. One of the soldiers could not be identified. 2 others succumbed to their injuries on the same day in Gräfinghausen, about two kilometers away. They were buried in 1952. The well-maintained war cemetery is signposted from the B51 and can also be easily reached by car via a dirt track. photos: C.Tözen 2021
