German military cemetery 1914/18 Cemetery size: 1,225 m² The cemetery is also referred to as "Bakan" or "Kannenek" in older local registers. The cemetery consists of 2 blocks and is enclosed by a bar fence. In block "A" there are three rows of burials with 6 graves and in block "B" there are seven rows of burials with 19 graves. There are concrete crosses on all the graves (except the last two graves in the 7th row). There are 154 crosses in total and 19 crosses are missing. There was probably no central memorial (a foundation is not visible). Based on the existing and missing crosses, it can be concluded that 173 soldiers, including 16 Russians (all in the 1st row of block "B"), rest in the cemetery. The soldiers are from different units: R.J.R. 24th, 20th, 73rd, 92nd, 252nd, 253rd, 254th; J.R. 405th, 409th, 410th; Guard J.R. 6th, B.J.R. 8th, 25th; fallen: October 1915 to October 1917. In 1992, the cemetery was put in order by the participants of the youth camp of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e.V., LV Bremen.
