A total of 147 dead from the Second World War and the National Socialist tyranny rest in a large, well-kept cemetery from the main entrance at the back left in front of the left-hand boundary.
Specifically, these are: - 133 German soldiers from all branches of the Wehrmacht, the majority of whom died in Zwischenahn reserve hospitals in 1944/45 or died during the fighting towards the end of the war in 1945, including some who remained unknown - five German civilians - three Soviet prisoners of war soldiers who died in 1944 - two Polish soldiers - two Polish forced laborers - one Ukrainian forced laborer - one unknown Photos: Volker Fleig 2014
