Total Occupation: 8 fatalities
Total Occupation: 8 fatalities
Open all year round
According to the information available to us, a total of 8 victims of the Second World War and National Socialist tyranny rest in this cemetery: - in the cemetery area: 2 German women who died after the end of the war in July 1945 and - in a well-kept communal grave on the left-hand side of the cemetery at the back: 6 unknown prisoners of the Osterhagen satellite concentration camp of the III SS construction brigade. They died as a result of the inhumane camp and working conditions during the construction of the Helmetalbahn railroad in 1944/45. The inscription "Six unknown war dead" on the gravestone for the deceased concentration camp prisoners of the Osterhagen satellite camp does not do justice to the fate of those resting here!
