Bad Fallingbostel - Dorfmark, Ev.- luth. Friedhof

According to the information available to us, 1 Ukrainian prisoner of war rests in this cemetery. The 33 children of Soviet and Polish forced labourers who died of illness, hunger and neglect in the Dorfmark "foreign children's detention centre" between the summer of 1944 and April 1945, whose graves were forgotten after the war and later levelled, are not listed. It was only in 2005 that the "Heimatverein Kirchspiel Dorfmark" (local history association) accidentally found a list of graves with the names, birth and death dates of these children in the district archives. On the further initiative of Mr. Alfred Michaelis, also from the Dorfmark local history association, a boulder with a name plaque was erected next to the chapel in 2008 to commemorate the fate of these children.
