According to the information available to us, a total of 64 victims of the Second World War and tyranny are buried in 2 cemeteries in this cemetery: - On the right-hand side of the cemetery, surrounded by a low hedge, is the site for the 36 German victims. Most of them died in the explosion of an ammunition train on the Bodenteich railroad line on March 25, 1945, which, according to the local chronicle, claimed around 80 lives and caused extensive damage. 28 Polish and Soviet forced laborers/prisoners of war rest in the middle section of the cemetery. Two of them died as early as 1942. The others died after the end of the war as so-called displaced persons in the period 1945 - 1950. The individual graves that once existed were levelled. 2 stone steles with their names commemorate them. Photos: Samtgemeinde Aue, Monika Fabig 2012
