Open all year round

According to the information available to us, a total of 21 dead from the Second World War and the National Socialist tyranny rest in this cemetery. In detail: - Grave field to the left of the main entrance: 18 German soldiers from various branches of the army, 5 of whom remain unknown. They fell between 19 and 21 April 1945 during the defence of the Elbe crossing south of Lauenburg in the Sassendorf area in battle against British units. - Individual graves in the rear left section: 1 Polish forced labourer who died in 1944 and 1 Soviet forced labourer who presumably died during the fighting in April 1945. - Individual grave in the front right section: 1 Serbian prisoner of war who died in 1943. All war graves look well cared for. Photos: Volker Fleig 2014
