According to the information available to us, a total of 29 dead, civilians and soldiers, who lost their lives in an Allied air raid on Ankum on 7 April 1945 rest on this very well-kept war cemetery at the Domhof. These include not only Ankum citizens but also evacuees from various regions of Germany and military personnel as well as an Italian and a Dutch citizen. Note: Some old graves of the von Boeselager family have been integrated into this war cemetery. (Last row) Photos: Volker Fleig 2014
