Angerburg Jägerhöhe/ Wegorzewo

The "Jägerhöhe" cemetery is one of the most beautifully situated in the landscape. It is located directly above Lake Schwenzait / Jez. Swiecajty. The circular 3,790 m² site is built with the typical boulder walls, in the center of which stands a wooden high cross. The graves of the 234 Russian and 344 German soldiers are marked with name stones. The cemetery was renovated at the beginning of the 1990s and is maintained by the municipal administration.
