In the western cemetery of Aarhus (Vestre Kirkegaard), directly north of the cemetery chapel, lie sections 0I and 0III with a total of 296 German soldiers (World War II) and 586 refugees.
In some places the graves are very close together, so that it was often necessary to combine several names on one natural stone slab. The slabs are laid flush with the lawn. At the entrances to the compartments are stone slabs indicating the respective occupancy.
