Aalborg South Cemetery (Söndre Kirkegaard) is located in the southwest of the city, near the water tower.
Here, 254 German soldiers and 1,096 refugees from the Second World War are buried in a closed complex, which was created by rearranging smaller cemeteries. The individual graves are marked by stone steles.
A bronze cross more than five meters high stands in the middle of the field, a stone slab in front of it names the number of those buried here in German and Danish.
